So far so good
This was a gift for my son. We ordered the wrong thing originally but toadfish did such an amazing job in getting us the right pole for our fisherman. Was super happy with the customer service and the product! Worth the investment for sure!!

What a great Paul feels good in your hand. Good stiff backbone sensitive. It whips out the light stuff. I'm throwing anything from 3/4 to 3 oz. Handles it no problem.
I think the pole reel combo is awesome! Perfect for a a striped bass run right here in Pacifica California. Although I haven't been out much, maybe five times had a few hits. I haven't landed one but my friends I go everyday. They're doing good, average from 37 to 25 in. I like to pull so much. I bought a 9'6" n reel bundle. Next will be the 10' 6".plus reel. Thanks again.

Beautiful rod. I have not had a chance to use it, I don’t know how it will perform. It is rated as medium-heavy and medium action. I am new to surf fishing and this rod feels more like heavy fast action rod. It has enough backbone to pull a whale out of the ocean it seems like. It is rated for 1-4 ounces lures, but it can probably cast a 2 lbs lure. Rod is very light and well balanced. I am pairing it with a Penn Slammer IV 4500. In the picture is Penn Slammer IV 5500. It’s a 2 lbs reel yet still balanced well with this rod. I just did want to fish with a 2 lbs reel.
Absolutely loved buying this for my husband. Unfortunately with the first purchase it was handled incorrectly by the shipping company. However I emailed toadfish customers services aNd they responded so quickly and shipped me a new road with in a few days was here. I also received a grill set gift with the purchase. He has catch his first stripe bass fish and we have used to grill set already. Was an amazing father's day gift.

Very light and responsive rod. It pairs up well with my toad fish 4000 elite reel. Action and feel are superb. I live on the coast and a fish, my whole life, and would recommend this rod to anyone needing a rod specialty of this link.

Quality!
9'6" casts with ease using 2 oz weight with a double rig. Handled a bullred with ease. Grip feels great. The only thing I would change is take 4" off the butt, as for I am on the shorter side.

I took it to the beach last weekend and it was able to handle big bull reds and a 3 foot tiger shark!
Haven't gotten to use it yet...I will next week. Ask me again in Nov.
Purchased the 8’8” 2 pc surf rod. Matchup with a Shimano Vanford 5000 what a perfect combo.
