Had a rod come in with a missing tip and some bent guides. Got a new replacement pretty quick. Haven’t tested it out yet but looks as pictured on website
Fish is well I like my other two toad fish rods a little better. I think they have more balance and throw a little better.

I was skeptical at first. I can’t deny that. But, coming from someone who has fished everything from $50 combos to $1000+ rods, I have to be honest when I say that this rod is easily and by far, my favorite rod! The reel that comes with it is solid if unspectacular but in itself seems to be a perfect compliment to the rod. I don’t foresee changing that at all. I’m just so very impressed with the sensitivity of this rod, as well as the backbone. I use it primarily as my Texas/wacky rig setup, but have fished jerkbaits, swimbaits, top water stuff and everything else and it performs well with everything. Still though, the sensitivity is incredible. The ease of cast, the feel. It’s better than a combo I have currently that’s more than twice the cost, and that’s what has me scratching my head. It’s genuinely a great rod/reel combo! I don’t think you can go wrong with this at all. It’s so good, I bought the Flats Bastard as well, and I may end up with another of these ones too. Heavier action maybe? Guess we’ll see. But, don’t hesitate to buy this one!
